I think I’ve found the cure for my recent insomnia. I’ve begun reading poetry. Each night I pick a new poet and then I fall asleep easily, my head filled with words instead of complicated and distracting mental meanderings.
Our first trial presentation of CRASH is on Tuesday. We did a dry run yesterday and it [...]

all is a procession
I make myself cry with poetry tonight.
I have perceiv’d that to be with those I like is enough, To stop in company with the rest at evening is enough, To be surrounded by beautiful, curious, breathing, laughing flesh is enough, To pass [...]

…and that’s the end of the world news
I could not fall asleep last night. Between the general lack of humidity in my bedroom and the incessant wind rattling the window pane I was too distracted and stimulated to fall asleep. When I am awake because of distractions I usually do my best to block them out. I tried that and got completely [...]

Good Morning!
Wakeful.
Nothing much going on up there. Still, I’m not asleep.
Today I stayed in bed until nearly three o’clock.

accidental
An early evening nap successfully took the wind out of my sails a little bit. I’m exhausted.
Live at the Funky Butt Jazz Club is happening one more time. We’re performing at 1 pm tomorrow for some visitors from Australia and for who ever else shows up. I’m encoring my understudy role. Fishnets and pearls… I’m [...]

Gargoyles
Today was a hard day at Interact. I have just been edgy for the past few days, probably because of increasing schedule chaos and the subsequent increasing environmental chaos. I don’t function very pleasantly or productively when my living spaces are a mess. In any event, Interact was difficult to handle today. I am struggling [...]
