So today is Blog Action Day (the banner is a link) and I’m doing my little bloggy part to raise awareness/ start a conversation about the environment.
I’m worried about the environment. Who isn’t? I also don’t do much about the things that I worry about. I don’t have a car, but that’s only because I can’t afford one. I eat a lot of processed and packaged foods that probably had to travel 2000 miles to get to me. I do recycle at home but I don’t try too hard when I’m in public. I take long, hot showers and I leave lights on and I smoke cigarettes.
Ok. Now I’m depressed. The long shower thing is probably by guiltiest and most pleasurable guilty pleasure. I should work on that. And I should buy local. And because I’m lazy I will now link to some nifty personal environmental impact calculators.

It’s great that you’re willing to look at your life and admit where there are areas for improvement, that’s really more than half the battle and most people never make it that far. Kudos!
Here is my post for Blog Action Day:
Save the Earth. Shut down the EPA.
