This week has been very up and down. Tuesday, for example, kind of sucked. Rehearsal was hard and I was left at the end of the day feeling powerless and incompetent. But then Wednesday kicked ass and I’ve never felt so effective or so good at what I do. When I got home last night, though, my next door neighbor’s house was on fire. I’m talkingĀ a flames-licking-the-kitchen, three-firetrucks, uninhabitable-house variety fire. It’s really terrifying. Luckily no one was in the house and everyone is alright.
I’m way excited about this show. Next week is going to be intense but I’m energized and optimistic. We open on the Saturday after Thanksgiving at Mixed Blood Theatre. Come check it out!
Meanwhile life just spins. I’ve got some routine and some room for spontaneity. I’m enjoying a few weeks of freedom in the evenings. I’m wishing I cooked more and that I had people to cook with. I’m trying to get myself into cool projects. I’m staying positive which isn’t always easy in November. This November is better than some. It’s been warmer that usual and sunnier than usual and I’ve been busier than usual. I’ve had to get up most days before ten so I’m awake for more daylight than I have been in winters past. I’m gearing up for a holiday season that will hopefully involve a lot of pie. Mmm.
