It’s been a lovely day.
Saw the Twins win. That’s 11 out of 12 now and maintains their decent win percentage. Let’s hope the Sox (White, not Red) lose tonight. Spent the rest of the afternoon on the porch with Primo and American Spirits. I bought a pack of cigarettes today, my first since December. I’m going to try to make it the only one of the summer. I’m tempted to belittle my will power at this point, but I’ll stay positive and hope that last sentence works out for me.
It’s a beautiful day, perfect for porch sitting. I have to own up to the fact that I’d have been inside had my external hard drive not crashed. Luckily for me it did so I couldn’t watch the movies I’d planned to watch today. Played twenty questions with my roommates instead. All good things.
I’ve been schedule-less for two weeks now and have been bitching about it the whole time. Now I’ve got a week of things to do and I’m regretting all the whining. Time off is a blessing that I so rarely recognize.
I’m trying to compile a list of all the shows I’ve seen this year. I’m thinking joining the ranks of Minneapolitans who write about theater. It would be a good method of keeping track of my activity in the community, at least.
In an effort to keep a recent resolution: I will go to trivia at the Tower on Tuesday.

Nothing worse on a sick day than for EVERYTHING INTERESTING TO BREAK. Well, probably not actually everything, but enough things. First broken thing: the internet. It’s still functional (obviously) but it’s unbelievably slow. Too slow to do things like, say, watch the season finale of Next Top Model at cwtv.com. Argh. I thought that instead I might just watch Running With Scissors which I have from Netflix at the moment. But the disk is all scratched or something and keeps sending my dvd app into fatal error mode. And my taste buds are broken, too, making everything taste oddly like plain yogurt. I hate plain yogurt. Blah. Stupid sick day.
